FEED THE POOR

Feeding the poor and needy is an act that draws us closer to Allah. We earn His forgiveness, mercies and blessings through this act of charity.

“Anyone who looks after and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah?s cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all night. (Bukhari)

Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Glasgow had been organising new year reception programmes at Baitur Rahman mosque, but due to the current pandemic situation, we have organised a successful virtual event on 17 January 2021, in which representatives of all walks of life attended.

The programme started at 6pm with a recitation of the Holy Quran and a welcome address by Ahmed Owusu-Konadu Sahib, Secretary Outreach for Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Glasgow.

Presentations were delivered by Moaz Ahmad Sahib about the introduction of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya and its humanitarian works being carried out in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife.

Speakers of different faiths, communities and politicians appreciated the fact Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya had been working towards humanity without considering colour, faith and race, all over the globe.
