It is believed that this footprint of 5’7 “by 2’6” is the footprint of the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), which was said to be 60 cubits tall. It is located on the top of a mountain in Sri Lanka, called Adam’s Peak (also known as Sri Pada – Holy Footprint).
Some scholars believe that when Adam (peace be upon him) was taken out of paradise and placed in this world, he landed in Sri Lanka. Buddhists believe that this is the footprint of the Buddha and the place of worship (as shown above). Please note that this place has been shown for informational purposes only; This is not a place of worship for Muslims.
Adam (peace be upon him) is mentioned by name 25 times in the only Quran.
When he was taken from paradise and placed on earth, the Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) wept a lot. Coincidentally, Sri Lanka resembles a tear shape.
